Maletsie Letsie | Lesotho 

 

Maletsie Letsie is labor inspector at the Lesotho Ministry of Labour and Employment, where she is responsible for inspections in the textile and manufacturing sector. That sector employs more than 40,000 Basotho, of which 80% are women. Maletsie is passionate about upholding workers' rights and ensuring the dignity of working women. She holds a master's degree in Public Policy, a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Maletsie plans to use her new knowledge and skills and the innovative ideas gained from the Fellowship's network to improve how labor issues are handled in her country.
